BTEC Extended Diploma in Health and social care Level 3 (180 credits)

 

This course is suitable for young people, and some adult learners, who wish to study full time and gain a qualification in Health and Social Care in order to progress to Higher Education or employment. To achieve the qualification you must satisfactorily complete 18 units and complete a minimum of 100 hrs work placement experience..

 

You will gain a broad understanding of health, social care and early years working environments. You will develop skills, knowledge and understanding in health, social care and early years. You will have an opportunity to apply learning in a practical and realistic way, whilst following a programme of study that enables progression to both higher education and employment in health, social care and early years. The course will help you develop key skills that are highly valued by employers and universities and gain confidence by developing independent learning skills.
